Big in Japan.
Ex pat Brit Chris Ranstead aka JapChris sent these from his adopted home of Japan.
Yes, we buy Japanese goods and the Japanese buy good old American Hot Rods!
Check these out, They'll open your eyes!

Sorry, Chris, this is all I could think of!

Recognize this recent import ? Didn't Shug build this ?
I was drawn to the Edelbrock front engine mount.

I like this '56.
(Yeah, me too...Mart.)

Is it just me or would this look a million times better with tall skinny crossplys ?

High Oc mantan kudasai - (fill 'er up , High Octane).
6.30 am, all open headers and fresh air clears the head.
Setting off to the hills for "Custom Hill" car meet.

Its that tyre thing again.

Liked this chopped Olds too.

Custom "in progress".

A little while back this '32 got impounded by the police when it was caught running open pipes,
heads up draggin' with a Dodge Charger on the public highway.
Now has red scallops (short fat ones, not long skinny ones, if ya know what I mean).

This Nash is owned by a guy known appropriately as "Nash". He puts together a
freebie little Kustom Kulture mag called "Burnout". This Nash recently had
the "unusual" front end modifications done (the car, not the person ! ). Its
Chevy V8 powered and has been used on the dragstrip here occasionally.

In serious need of Moon Discs !

Pulled up behind this Chevy in a Expressway service area on the way to a show.
From the number plate I can tell he had a 13 hour drive from down south
up to the Customhill show near Mt Fuji. After the show he was parked up just
outside with engine troubles. Had my own problems coming home (only 8 hours
drive, but 4 in the rain) - bad dynomo, and no hood + rain = no spark. Ain't
hotroddin' fun ! - T eventually made it home under its own power.

Another recent import is this nice flatty powered '32. It proved to be a driver.
Cruised with it for a while on the long journey to this show.

Thanks for the Pictures, Chris. Sure looks like a steadily growing interest over there....Mart.
